Our Volunteers
Local schools, churches, synagogues and corporations support the Center through their community service initiatives. Adults from our community serve on our Board of Directors, help with fundraising events, provide support for administrative tasks and work in our classrooms. MKCCC also serves as a training and placement site for Westchester Community college, Fordham University, The Botanical Gardens and The Pleasantville Cottage School. The MKCCC volunteer initiative is managed by Ruth Goodman, our Volunteer Coordinator who places and schedules the 50 to 60 volunteers a week that help at the Center. Student volunteers are encouraged to work with all age groups and to create projects based on their own interests and talents. They are asked to make an initial commitment of 6 consecutive weeks on a set day and time. To get more information or to become a volunteer please contact info@mkccc.org for more information.
