Supervisor of the Infant and After School Programs, Stacey Ford, has been with MKCCC for eleven years. She worked in the preschool classrooms for 8 years and has been overseeing the after school program for 3 years. She brings her love of sports to the program from her son and ensures the children get outside and play after a full day at school! She is also responsible for planning great activities for school vacation days and ensuring the Summer Camp program is the best it can be. The Feed Me Fresh gardening program is one of her favorites, as well as spending time with the seniors in our JEWEL program.
Infant A Head Teacher, Liz Farrington, has worked with children of all ages since graduating with an associates degree in General Studies. She has provided care for children as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for children with special needs, and holds a Child Development Associate Credential for Infants and Toddlers. She loves watching the infants grow and develop their own little personalities. She believes providing a nurturing and safe environment will allow the infants to explore and learn something new everyday.
Toddler A Head Teacher and Toddler Program Supervisor, Vanessa Kardos, became a teacher out of her love for children and for the rewarding experience in helping them build a solid foundation for the rest of their lives. She loves reading to her toddlers and feels strongly that emphasizing literacy at a young age strengthens these foundations. Vanessa also believes the JEWEL program is a special experience that emphasizes the importance of role models in a young child’s life.
Toddler B Head Teacher, Jessica Campoverde, has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and plans to apply both her education and experience into her classroom. She has worked with children ranging in ages from 6 weeks – school age throughout the last 10 years. She believes that it is important to form a special bond with each child, as well as providing a caring environment for them. Miss Jessica is a passionate teacher who enjoys seeing the children learn and grow in all different areas of their development.[/threecol_one]

Pre-K A Head Teacher and Preschool Program Supervisor, Laura Rubin believes that every moment is an opportunity to learn. She brings this attitude to her preschool classroom and instills in her students a sense of curiosity. Inside, Laura watches the eagerness with which her students learn about cooking new foods, and outside she both plays with her kids and teaches them about the environment.
Pre-K C Head Teacher Sloane Hinkley has been with MKCCC for over 10 years! She has a Master’s Degree from Mercy College in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. She is also licensed in teaching from Birth-6th grade in both General Education and Special Education. Sloane enjoys working with children and loves being able to use the Creative Curriculum as a way to incorporate her students interests and sense of curiosity throughout the classroom. Learning is fun when it’s done through hands on experiences, make believe play, conversations, and focusing on the children’s individual interests. Their incredible personalities and sense of humor shine through!
Pre-K K Head Teacher Kerry Wilson has loved working with children for as long as she can remember and has worked with various age groups. She is very perceptive about the ways in which children learn – in particular, she has found that her pre-schoolers learn a lot from group discussions, free play, and the positive examples set by the other students. She believes that play is a child’s work and strives to set her students up to be life long learners. Kerry loves to read and tries everyday to help her students enjoy it as much as she does!
