WELCOME
Our Mission
We help working families thrive by providing equitable access to high-quality child care and early education to a diverse group of children through innovative, developmentally appropriate programming and a holistic approach to supporting family needs.
PROGRAMS
Learning and Care is Individualized
Mount Kisco Child Care Center provides child care and early education for ages 3 months to 11 years. Yet we go well beyond the traditional in our programs— our programs and tools help teachers create individualized learning and care plans for every child. Progress and updates are available each day for families to ensure home / school continuity is in place for our little learners.
PROGRAM
Infants
Little ones feel right at home in our warm, nurturing environment, complete with a dedicated outdoor space just for them. Each day, social and emotional development, as well as speech, language, and cognitive growth are encouraged. We exceed mandated teacher/child ratios to provide an extra level of attention.
PROGRAM
Toddlers
Through a balance of active and quiet play, as well as structured and free play activities, we help nurture emerging skills and development. Our focus is on language, socialization, motor development and sensory skills. Toddlers have their own brand-new, beautiful playgrounds, designed just for them, where they can run, jump and climb to develop those motor skills.
PROGRAM
Pre-Kindergarten
We make preschool a fun and meaningful experience. A mix of 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds learn in ways that are play based and developmentally appropriate. Using Creative Curriculum—a child-initiated curriculum—lesson plans cover areas which interest the child, and include literacy, math, science and social studies.
PROGRAM
Before & After School Care
Our School Age program is all about providing stable support for children in grades K-5, helping them meet rigorous academic expectations as they age. Here, students can get homework help, socialize with friends, play games or engage in other art and music opportunities. Healthy breakfast and afternoon snacks are also provided.
PROGRAM
Feed Me Fresh Seed-to-Table Program
Our signature program, Feed Me Fresh, is a comprehensive seed-to-table nutrition education program. With input from nutritionists, teachers, chefs and farmers, it couples hands-on farming units with cooking classes to create well-rounded, developmentally appropriate activities for each age group.
PROGRAM
MKCCC Summer Camp
Learning never ends at MKCCC. Swimming, field trips and special programs like dance and martial arts, as well as work in the Feed Me Fresh Gardens, make for a great time during the summer months. Our designated air-conditioned classrooms, outdoor playgrounds and indoor play areas keep children busy—and comfortable on hot or rainy days. Extend hours for camp are available at no extra charge to better support working parents.
WHO WE ARE
Meet The Team
Each and every member of the MKCCC team is committed to helping children blossom at every age. Through time-honored experience, an innovative curriculum, and the pure joy in seeing children learn and grow, we help achieve that.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT
Feed Me Fresh
How can gardening help children grow? Our Feed Me Fresh Program lets children get their hands dirty as they learn about sustainability and nutrition—outside the four walls of the classroom in playground gardens. Cooking classes based on seasonal offerings from the gardens, the opportunity to create a beautiful space, family dinner nights, shared recipes and more, round out this innovative nutrition education program.
