Advocacy, Scholarships and MKCCC as a Resource

An equitable education starts long before the first day of kindergarten. Study after study has validated that the most important developmental time in a person’s life is the very first years. Access to stable, caring environments, nutritious food, books, social interactions, and structure all contribute to lifelong higher success and better overall health.

At MKCCC, every day we see the impact of having access to quality, reliable child care and early education can have on not just children but the entire family. Our society long ago left an era where dad worked, mom stayed at home and pre-school was not an expected precursor to kindergarten. However, child care and early education is still mainly a puzzle for working families to solve, often leaving them with impossible choices.

We believe in equitable access for all children and operate as a non-profit so that we can raise funds to provide scholarships to families who would otherwise not be able to afford the tuition. We also work hard to raise awareness of the need in our community for broader support of families and the child care industry.

We provide leadership and are members of the Westchester’s Early Childhood Directors Association and are members and supporters of the Child Care Council of Westchester.
