Junior League of Westchester to be honored
Mt. Kisco, NY – (May 10, 2010) – Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC) will host the First Annual Jane H. Beusman Children’s Fund Celebration on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 6:30pm. The event will take place at the Saw Mill Club, 77 Kensico Drive, Mount Kisco, NY.
The life and philanthropy of Jane H. Beusman, who established the Children’s Fund for MKCCC in 2008 because she understood the need for continuing financial support for working families, will be celebrated at this inaugural event.
The Junior League of Northern Westchester will be honored for its efforts throughout the Northern Westchester community. Kiersten Marich, JLNW president, will accept the honor on behalf of JLNW. Philanthropist and winner of Oprah’s Big Give, Stephen Paletta will serve as Master of Ceremonies, and Mount Kisco Mayor Michael Cindrich will be a presenter.
Since 2002, Jane H. and Curtis Beusman have provided support to MKCCC by providing financial support and by serving on the Board of Directors. Jane will be remembered and honored with the formal establishment of The Jane H. Beusman Children’s Fund, which will continue to provide tuition assistance to MKCCC’s families in need. Half of the children who receive care at the Center receive scholarships, because their families cannot afford full tuition. The Children’s Fund will help to bridge the gap.
The event will feature poolside cocktails, a buffet dinner catered by Abigail Kirsch, live music performed by The La Blanc Brothers Band and a raffle for a 2010 Lexus HS 250h Luxury Hybrid.
Guest tickets cost $150, and Benefactor tickets cost $200. All proceeds will benefit families in need of tuition assistance, teacher development and educational materials.
Guests are encouraged to make donations to the Jane H. Beusman Children’s Fund to support family tuition and teacher development. All Grade Level Gifts to the Fund will be matched by the Beusman family.
Grade Level Gifts follow:
