Mt. Kisco, NY – (June 20, 2011) – Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC) recently celebrated 40 years at their “Waves of Possibility” Dinner at Mount Kisco Country Club. The event raised over $160,000 and honored teachers of the past and present who have dedicated their time and expertise to the Center.
“It was an exceptional evening,” said Dottie Jordan, Executive Director. “We are so grateful to the teachers who have dedicated so much to the Center and to the community members who joined us in the celebration.”
MKCCC opened its doors in 1971 to 25 three- and four- year old children in rented classroom spaces. Since then, the Center has grown to caring for 160 children daily, ages three months to twelve years of age. The Center employs forty teachers, some of which have been involved for as long as twenty years.
“Our goal has remained the same since the beginning; to nurture the possibility and potential of every child in our program,” explained Jordan. “These committed teachers have created an environment that fosters that potential.”
Mount Kisco Child Care Center, located at 95 Radio Circle, Mount Kisco, NY, has been chosen as the 2011 Not-for-Profit of the Year by the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce. Follow MKCCC on Facebook (Mount-Kisco-Child-Care-Center) for the latest news and updates.
