Mount Kisco Child Care Center Launches Annual Appeal to Support Local Families and Early Education

Mount Kisco, NY — Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC) has launched its 2025 Annual Appeal to raise critical funds supporting affordable, high-quality child care and early education for working families across Westchester County.

This year’s campaign, themed “Child Care Is Not a Luxury — It’s Infrastructure,” comes at a time when families are facing increased financial strain and early education providers are struggling to stay afloat.

“Every child deserves care, and every parent deserves the support they need to work and provide for their family,” said Dawn Meyerski, Executive Director of MKCCC. “Child care isn’t a luxury — it’s infrastructure. It strengthens our families, fuels our economy, and ensures a stronger future for our community.”

Founded more than fifty years ago by community leaders who recognized the need to support women entering the workforce, MKCCC continues to serve as a vital resource for families of all income levels. Today, nearly 40% of Westchester families with children struggle to meet the basic cost of living (United Way’s ALICE Report), and child care remains their largest monthly expense.

The funds raised through the Annual Appeal directly support MKCCC’s mission to provide equitable access to early education and care regardless of a family’s financial situation. Donations help provide scholarships for low- and middle-income families, support competitive wages for teachers, and sustain high-quality programming for children from infancy through pre-kindergarten.

To encourage community participation, Brown & Brown, an insurance company proudly serving the Hudson Valley, has stepped forward as MKCCC’s Giving Tuesday Matching Donor. The company will match all contributions up to $5,000 made through midnight on Giving Tuesday (December 2, 2025) — doubling the impact of each gift.

“This generous matching opportunity from Brown & Brown allows our community to come together and make an even greater difference,” said Meyerski. “Every dollar helps a child learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.”

“We are honored to partner with MKCCC this Giving Tuesday,” said Nick Fulciniti, Risk Manager & Account Executive, Brown & Brown of Hudson Valley. “Supporting working families and ensuring every child has access to quality early education reflects our commitment to strengthening the communities we serve.”

Community members are encouraged to make a tax-deductible donation online at mkccc.org/product/general-donation/ or by mail to Mount Kisco Child Care Center, 95 Radio Circle, Mount Kisco, NY 10549.
