Mount Kisco Child Care Center to Host 9th Annual Feed Me Fresh: An Edible Evening Fundraiser to honor Dottie Jordan, MKCCC Executive Director, the late Grace Marwell and the Marwell Family

Mt Kisco, NY – (September 10, 2013) –Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC) will host its 9th Annual Feed Me Fresh: An Edible Evening event on Saturday, September 28, 2013 beginning at 6:00pm. The flagship fundraiser will once again be hosted by Eric Hadar at Ivanna Farms in Bedford Corners, NY. The Honorary Co- Chairs are Beverley & Sabin Streeter and Twink & Jim Wood. Kelly Sullivan, of Quaker Hill Tavern in Chappaqua, is this year’s Event Chair.

This year’s honorees are Dottie Jordan, Executive Director at MKCCC, the late Grace Marwell and the Marwell Family. Mrs. Jordan is retiring after nearly 30 years as Executive Director of MKCCC. Mrs. Marwell was a founding member of the Mount Kisco Child Care Center. As a board member and volunteer, Mrs. Marwell guided the mission and set the high standards for care and programs at MKCCC. The Marwell family has generously supported MKCCC for over four decades. David Griff, MKCCC’s President of the Board of Directors notes: “Over forty years ago, Grace Marwell shared a vision to provide high quality child care to working families in our area. Under Dottie’s leadership, MKCCC has become the preeminent child care center in Westchester County. Thousands of children and working families have benefitted from her tireless dedication, and the vision of Mrs. Marwell and the Marwell family continues.”

As a tribute to MKCCC’s innovative Feed Me Fresh nutrition curriculum and farm-to-table philosophy, the evening will feature tastings from many of Westchester’s top restaurants, including: Belizzi; Captain Lawrence Brewing Company; Frannie’s Goodie Shop; La Tulipe Desserts; Ladle of Love/Café of Love; Lexington Square Café; MKCCC’s own “Feed Me Fresh” Kitchen; Mount Kisco Seafood; Pour Café and Wine Bar; Quaker Hill Tavern; Peter Pratt’s Inn; Silver Spoon Catering; Skinny Buddha; and Village Social. Guests will also enjoy a lively Blue Grass band, open bar and fabulous live and silent auctions.
